About OzTradie Calc
An independent digital utility built to simplify pricing, superannuation, and GST estimates for Australian sole traders and subcontractors.
Our Mission & Purpose
Going out on your own as a sole trader or contractor in Australia is a major career milestone. However, setting a profitable hourly rate is one of the most common stumbling blocks for new electricians, plumbers, builders, painters, and other tradespeople.
Many tradies benchmark their prices solely against competitors, often overlooking critical costs like superannuation, vehicle depreciation, tool replacement, sick leave, and public holidays. This leads to undercharging and financial stress.
OzTradie Calc was developed as an independent, open-access calculator to eliminate the guesswork. We want to make it easy for tradespeople to map out their target annual take-home income, add realistic overheads, and see their required charge-out rate instantly.
