Our Mission & Purpose

Going out on your own as a sole trader or contractor in Australia is a major career milestone. However, setting accurate quotes and doing complex trade material take-offs on the tailgate of an ute can be stressful and error-prone.

Many tradies benchmark solely against competitors or rough guesswork, overlooking true building code spans, timber waste allowances, rafter geometry, superannuation, and tool depreciation.

OzTradie Calc was built as a clean, open-access, independent suite of calculators to take the math off your shoulders. We focus on real Australian building standards (AS 1684, NCC 2022, AS/NZS 3008) so you can price jobs and order materials with 100% confidence.

Hi, I'm Arpit. I'm a self-taught software developer passionate about building fast, accurate, and clutter-free digital tools for trades and construction. I built OzTradie Calc to give Australian chippies, sparkies, and subbies transparent calculation utilities without paywalls, sign-up forms, or intrusive ads.

Verified Reference Standards

To ensure accuracy for Australian users, our calculations are built strictly around public regulatory guidelines and Australian Standards:

  • Superannuation is aligned with the ATO Super Guarantee rate of 12.0% (FY 2025/2026). Source: ATO Super Guarantee.
  • GST calculations are based on standard 10% GST with the $75,000 registration threshold. Source: ATO GST Threshold.
  • Building calculations align with AS 1684.2 (Residential Timber-Framed Construction) and NCC 2022.

Our Core Principles
